Betty Jane (Niswander) Weber, 86 of Harbor Springs, Michigan, went to be with her Lord on July 10, 2021 at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey, Michigan.
Daughter of Merwin and Louise (Burdick) Niswander, Betty was born on December 6, 1934 in Harbor Springs. She attended Harbor Springs public schools and graduated from Harbor Springs High School in 1953.
Betty married John Stradling on June 12, 1953 and together they had a family of five children. Later in life she married Edwin Weber on February 11, 1972 in Harbor Springs, Michigan.
Betty started out as a bookkeeper and then became a homemaker raising her children. In her early years she also volunteered at the Salvation Army helping at the resource center. After her children had grown, she became a Nursing Aid for many years.
She loved to knit, croque, spoil her grandchildren, camp, and play the card game 13.
Betty was a lifetime member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Harbor Springs. Her main goal in life was the church and she always found time to help it.
Betty was a wonderful mother and loving person. She was selfless.
Betty is survived by her children: John, Tim (Mary), Joel (Pascale), Becky (Tom); her 12 grandchildren; her 19 great-grandchildren; her 3 great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Debbie.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin; her son Dan; her brother Jack; and her daughter-in-law Jan.
Those wishing to make a donation in Betty’s memory are asked to consider the Main Street Baptist Church.
A funeral service for Betty will be officiated by Pastor Terry Morse at 11:00 AM on July 14, 2021 at the Main Street Baptist Church in Harbor Springs. A visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and a graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery will follow the service.
