Brandon Walter McNamara, 39, of Boyne Falls, Michigan, passed away in his home on March, 5, 2025.
Brandon was born March 30, 1985, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to the late Richard Lyle McNamara and Mary Karen Lutz (Hubbard). In June of 1985, the family moved to Northern Michigan. Brandon graduated from Boyne City High School in 2003.
Brandon was highly creative and enjoyed drawing and painting. He expressed himself through art. One of his proudest achievements was getting the opportunity to help paint the Gaylord skatepark. He was also an avid skier and loved the Northern Michigan lifestyle of skiing, boating and camping. Music was a big part of his life and often shared what he was listening to on social media.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Mary Lutz, and stepfather, Jeffrey Lutz of Portland, Texas; his daughter, Remmy McNamara of Petoskey, Michigan; his siblings, Trisha (Ben) Stefanic of Boyne Falls, Michigan, Kaleb (Alexandra) McNamara of Candia, New Hampshire, and Karlie (Tanner) Ward of Grand Rapids, Michigan; his six nephews and one niece, as well as his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Jackson of Las Cruces, New Mexico; plus, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brandon was preceded in death by his father, Richard McNamara, and paternal grandparents, Lyle and Ruth McNamara.
A Celebration of Life gathering is being held on Friday, March 21st, 2025, at Blue Sky Barn, 11369 M-32, Elmira, MI at 4:00pm.
Though we all miss him terribly, Brandon is rejoicing in heaven in the loving arms of Jesus, and we will see him again one day.
Arrangements are in the care of Stackus Funeral Home of Boyne City, Michigan.
