Brenton Willis Schultz, 90 of Petoskey, Michigan passed away peacefully on November 17, 2020 at Villa At The Bay in Petoskey.
Son of Brenton and Bertha (Colvia) Schultz, Brenton was born on September 8, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in Dexter, Michigan where he attended school and graduated Dexter High. He also was on the cheerleading squad while in school.
He met Marcella Maudrie in Seattle, Washington while she was serving in the Army as well. They married on December 20, 1950. He then served in Alaska, as a sergeant , during the Korean war.
Brenton was a loan officer and manager at many banks. He was the manager of Beneficial Finance and then Michigan National Bank. He also worked at a credit union in Flint, Michigan.
Brenton loved to fish and the outdoors. He hunted and would take his family camping. He was very much a family man and great dad. Brenton was very musical also and played the accordion since he was seven years old. He also played the harmonica in the Harmonicats, a harmonica group.
He loved the lord and was a member of the New Hope North of Petoskey. Brenton was also a member of the Lions Club and Rotary Club in Flint.
Brenton is survived by his children: Deborah, Denise (Michael), Dawn, Darryl (Mary Jo), Daniel, and Donna (Nate); his grandchildren: Daniel, Jennifer, Stephanie, Renee, Michael, Nichole, Shannon, Dannielle, Brooke, Nicholas, Adam, Nicholas, and Crystal; his great-grandchildren: Michael, Maddison, Mason, Gabriel, Mackenzie, Makayla, Mariah, Copper, Vivian, Everly, Stella, and Malcolm; his sister Marielayne (Raymond); his sister-in-law Betty; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Brenton is preceded in death by his wife Marcella; his parents Brenton and Bertha; his grandchild Jesse; and his identical twin brother Robert.
