Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Carol June Younce announce her passing on June 18, 2022, in Cheboygan, Michigan.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Isadore Douglas (1964) and Arbutus Douglas (1997), brother Dale Douglas (2014), husband Robert Spooner (1976), husband Kenneth Younce (2014), daughter Linda Spooner (1952), grandson Douglas Spooner (2004), and stepdaughter Linda Keyes (2011).

Carol is survived by a son, Roger (Connie) Spooner, daughter Kim (Gary) Hutchinson, granddaughters Amanda Kuehn and Kelly (Jeff) McCray, great grandsons Dylan Meek, Keegan Meek, Jordan Meek, and Reece McCray, stepsons John Younce and Chris Younce, and sisters Eloise Fralic and Erma Stocker.

Carol enjoyed spending time with family, golfing (including a hole in one), boating, and fishing. She spent many years working as a cashier at grocery stores in Howell, Michigan. She spoke of the memories of those days often. Carol enjoyed her years living at The Brook of Cheboygan. She made many new friends and even caught up with some childhood friends. Bingo was her favorite activity, but you could also find her playing pool.
