Carrie B Piehl

On August 10, 2018, Carrie B. Piehl, 93, of Petoskey, left this world to be forever with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Carrie was born August 15, 1924. She was the seventh of eight children born to George and Bonna (Bolack) Piehl.

Carrie was proceeded in death by her parents and siblings; Carl (Violet), Raymond (Anita) and Milton (Helen) Piehl, Norma (Wayne) Merrill, Mabel (Steve) Beer, Grace (John) Hiller and Juanita (Bob) Roberts.

Carrie was employed by the Char-EM ISD, where she was very valued and respected by those she worked for and worked with for over forty-five years.

She was faithful to her Lord and an active member of The First Baptist Church of Petoskey. She touched many young lives as a Sunday School teacher.  Carrie had a beautiful voice and would often sing duets with her niece, Brenda Hiller, during Sunday services.

Aunt Carrie is survived by many nephews and nieces, great-nephews and nieces and even great-great nephews and nieces who loved her deeply and will miss her greatly.

A funeral service will be held for Carrie at the First Baptist Church in Petoskey, on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 12 noon with a visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial donation to The First Baptist Church of Petoskey in Carrie’s honor.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Villa at the Bay for their wonderful care of Carrie during her final years.
