Catherine Marie (Franco) Pearson

Catherine Marie (Franco) Pearson, age 66, of Cheboygan, Michigan, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 12, 1959, in Dearborn, Michigan, the daughter of Anthony (Tony) and Lois (McCann) Franco. Catherine grew up in Grosse Pointe and later built her life and raised her family in Cheboygan.

Catherine attended Hillsdale College, graduating in 1981, and went on to work as a Graphic and Media Arts Designer for Anthony M. Franco Inc. In 1993, she became a mother—a role she cherished above all others. Deeply involved in her sons’ lives, Catherine volunteered on several school committees and was always an active presence in their activities. Known for her one-of-a-kind personality and wonderful sense of humor, Catherine brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone around her.

Survivors include her former husband, Mark Pearson, with whom she shared four sons: Samuel Pearson, Nicholas Pearson, Benjamin (Brooke) Pearson, and Daniel Pearson; her grandchildren, Emmett, Peyton, and Paxton Pearson; her siblings Suzanne (William) Hertle, Anne Franco, Patricia (Jeff) Roberge, Michael (Bradley Silver) Franco, David (Nicole) Franco, Meredith (Pete) Meyers, and Christopher Franco; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Franco and Lois Healy, and her brother, Tony.

Visitation will be held at St. Thomas Lutheran Church Friday, December 5th, 2025 at 12:00 pm with a scripture service beginning at 1:00 pm.
