Cheryl Lynn Daniel

Cheryl Lynn Daniel, 74 of Plymouth MI, passed away on September 13, 2025, at Medilodge of Cheboygan surrounded by friends and family.

Cheryl was born on November 23, 1950, in Northville, MI, the daughter of Lawrence Roland Daniel and Lela Mae (Ring) Daniel. She grew up in Plymouth, graduating from Plymouth High School in 1969. Cheryl was a social butterfly; she absolutely loved visiting with family and traveling to different places, especially Disney World. She was also a devout follower of Jesus; her faith was incredibly important to her.

Cheryl lived most of her adult life in the care of the Community Opportunity Center, Livonia MI, which enabled her to live independently, work part time and be involved in her community, while receiving guidance and good care from her compassionate staff. In October 2023 she moved to Medilodge of Cheboygan to receive rehab care for a broken hip and be closer to her friend, Kathryn.  In her free time, Cheryl enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at Medilodge, doing crafts, watching “Law and Order”, enjoying the wildlife outside, she especially loved deer and bird watching. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing with her parents and brother. Those close to Cheryl will be reminded of her when they see a Diet Coke, a bowl of chips and dip, Burger King and Arby’s; all foods that she could not resist.  Cheryl will be missed for her bright and upbeat spirit, whether she was paying someone a compliment, offering to pray for someone or giving someone a gift, her friendly and loving nature touched all who knew her.

Cheryl is survived by her brother Ed (Linda) Daniel, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews as well as best friend Kathryn DeGeorge. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Margaret Schlichting and Carolyn (Bill) Dingeldey.

Services for Cheryl will take place at Nordman-Christian Funeral Home in Cheboygan on Thursday, September 25th. Visitation will be from 1-2:20 with a Funeral beginning at 2:30pm. Burial will take place at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly the following day, Friday, September 26th at 11am.
