Christine "Chris" Kay (Lockman) Huskisson

Chris Huskisson, 69, of Boyne City, Michigan, was born Christine Kay Lockman on March 1, 1955, in Petoskey, Michigan and grew up in Boyne City. She had a wonderful childhood with her parents Robert and Ardis (Kowalske) Lockman and her three siblings, Don, Carl, and Nancy. Chris passed away on April 14, 2024. She leaves behind her loving husband Pete and two devoted daughters, Nikki (Josh) Wright of Maine and Molly (Jeff) Burns of Boyne City. Chris adored her four grandchildren: Brody Burns, Oz Wright, Sophia Wright, and Molly Mae Wright. She also leaves behind her brother Don (Jackie) Lockman, and her sister Nancy (Jeff Bodette) Fortune, as well as several nieces, and nephews.

Chris enjoyed gardening with her girls and being outside. Many hours were spent around her parents’ kitchen table canning jams and fruits with her family. Chris loved to shop and looked forward to those special days spent shopping with her mom, sister, and daughters.

Chris was an important part of her community and touched the lives of many. She was a member of the Eagles in Boyne City, where she forged countless friendships over the years. Chris was one of the kindest people you would ever meet and loved spending time with her friends and family.

One of Chris's greatest joys was being near the water. Whether it was lounging on the beach or enjoying a day of boating, she found solace and happiness in the serenity of the waves. Nikki and Molly fondly remember the countless memorable days spent with their mother.

Chris will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. She will also be remembered for her vibrant spirit, unwavering love for her family, and her ability to bring joy to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of all who know her.

Chris was preceded in death by her first husband Peter Fettig, her second husband Sandy Robinson, her parents Robert and Ardis Lockman and her brother Carl Lockman and sister-in-law Elaine Lockman.

A celebration of Chris's life will be held in Boyne City, in August, date still to be determined.
