Christopher Joseph Laura

Christopher Joseph Laura, 32 of Oden, died September 16, 2018 at the McLaren Hospital in Petoskey.

Christopher is the son of Harry Laura and Catherine and Steve Legato and was born on March 1, 1986 in Corsicana, Texas.  He grew up in Levering, MI and graduated from Pellston High School.

On November 5, 2017, Christopher married the love of his life, Ashley Chapman in Petoskey and the two made their home in Oden.

He loved music and played all the sports in school.  He greatly enjoyed his family outings and loved to cook.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley; 4 children, Tyler Laura, Ryan Laura, Jeremiah Laura, and Ethan Laura; mother and Step-father, Catherine and Steve Legato; Father, Harry Laura; sisters, Moranda Legato and Amanda Robinson; grandparents, Barbara and Everett Miller; and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service celebrating Christopher’s life will be held on Monday, September 24th at 2pm at the Stone Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1pm until the time of service.
