Connor Joshua Makimaa

In the midst of profound grief we lament the death of Connor Makimaa, born October 31, 2004, beloved son of Casey Makimaa, treasured Grandson of Robert and Julie Makimaa, Great-Grandson to Herbert and Florence Makima. He is survived by his Uncle, MSgt. Herbert Makimaa (Heyde), Great Uncles, Mark Makima (Terry), David Makima, and Great Aunt Terry Makima and Godfamily Joseph and Courtney (Makima) Badgley.

Connor was a tough, out spoken teen who honored America and our Veterans and aspired to join the Air Force. He loved geology, being outdoors and his SISU heritage and he knew more about history than most.

Connor was a hopeful teen who was generous and loyal to a fault with those he cared about, and those closest to him will never forget his sense of humor. Entering his sophomore year, he joined Cheboygan Chiefs Football followed by Chiefs Varsity Wrestling and “The Boys” became his extended family.

A public gathering for friends and family will be Sunday, March 28th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Great Lakes Grill, 817 E State St, Cheboygan, MI 49721.
