Dale E. Mansfield, age 80 of Wolverine (formerly Mount Morris), Michigan, died June 12, 2026, at home. He was born February 6, 1946, in Flint, Michigan where he was raised and educated. Dale married the love of his life, Carolyn Pulley, on September 14, 1963, and were together until her death on April 25, 2008.
He joined the Army on February 24, 1966, as a private E1 ordinance supply specialist, where he was deployed to Vietnam and proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged on February 23, 1972.
The year after he got home from the war he went to work for GM V-8 engine plant in Flint, retiring after 30 years during which time he loved to play golf with his friends.
Dale is survived by his sons Mark (Tracy) Mansfield of Mount Morris, Dale Jr., and daughter Krista (Brad) Long of Wolverine; his sister Sherrie Lenzi of Port Charlotte, Florida, and brother Glen Mansfield of El Cajon, California. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nikolle, Kaylee, Ryan, Tyler, Samantha, Triston, Shane, Zachary, Devin, Taya, and Gabby; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn, son Gary, his parents Maurice and Mildred Mansfield, and his sister Marilyn.
Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place.
