Daniel Cronk Obituary

Daniel Martin Cronk was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 22, 1955, to parents Mary (Mahoney) and Bernard F. Cronk. He was raised in the suburban Detroit area, with dreams of being a great sports star. In his youth, he was an avid hockey player, and attempted any sport that could be played with his brothers, sisters and his very dear friends from Shrine school. He moved to Harbor Springs in the mid-1980s, where he met his soulmate Sue Fowler. Their son Jamison was born in 1991. Danny’s passion was his family, his friends, and golf. He golfed as often and as long as he could, and boasted of his two hole-in-one games.

Danny worked at “damn near every bar” in the area, and made friends wherever he went. He retired in 2018, due to increasing health concerns.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard; brother, Patrick Cronk; sister, Laurie Cronk; and brother-in-law, Eddie Jones.

Danny is survived by Sue; son Jamison (Alex) Cronk; mother Mary Cronk; sister Clare Jones; brothers Neil (Lorene) Cronk, Louis (Joyce) Cronk, Matt (Linda) Cronk, and Paul Cronk who selflessly donated the kidney that had given us a few more years with Danny.

Also surviving are his brothers-in-law Mike (Deb) Fowler, Pat (Leslie) Fowler, and Ken (Tracey) Fowler; nieces Heather Reumert, Sarah White, Paige Jones, Ana Cronk, Megan Mouser, and Caitlin Connors, and nephew Florencio Beltran. His lifelong friends from his Shrine days, and his golfing buddies up north; as well as the many, many friends he has made along the way are also among those who Danny called Family.

Danny valiantly fought the hard battles and now - May God Rest His Soul.
