David Roy Craig, age 86, of Alanson, MI, died on February 22, 2026 at home surrounded by family and faithful companion Dakota.
David was born on November 14, 1939, in Plymouth, Indiana the son of Roy Lucas Craig and Marion Fanny Ramsby. He grew up in Alanson, MI, and attended school at Littlefield Alanson School.
On April 13, 1962, he married Patsy Nelson, “the love of his life”, in Mount Vernon, Washington and have been married for 63 years. David honorably served in the Untied States Navy from April 16, 1958 to April 13, 1962. David was a master electrician and a licensed HVAC. He was a avid supporter of the Leader Dog Program, donating many puppies. David was an active firearms enthusiast of military memorabilia.
David was a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge 440, Shriners, Veterans Administration, NRA, any and all coffee and donut meetings.
David is survived by his wife Pasty Craig; sons Eric Craig and Kirk Craig; daughter Karen Greenier; granddaughters Libbey Craig and Shelby Jacobs. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Marion; and son-in-law Kerry Greenier.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Stone Funeral Home, Inc. with visitation being held from 10:00 am until the time of service. Pastor David Behling will be officiating.
Burial will take place at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 26, 2026 at Alanson Littlefield Township Cemetery.
