David Dunshee Obituary

David Keith Dunshee, 79 of Petoskey, Michigan passed away January 24, 2020 at Villa at the Bay of Petoskey.

Son of Arthur and Elizabeth Mae (Hickman) Dunshee, David was born on March 31, 1940 in Petoskey where he grew up and attended Petoskey High School and graduated in 1958.

On August 1, 1959 David married Joyce Stanley in Epsilon, Michigan.

David was a carpenter and master craftsman. He loved woodworking and crafting special projects. He also liked to hunt deer and got a prize 17 point white tail buck in Montana.

David was a member of the Alanson Church of Nazarene.

Surviving David is his wife Joyce Dunshee; his children: Doreen Lowe, Diane Hannan, Adam (Kathryn) Dunshee, and Julie Hesla; his grandchildren: Emily Dunshee, Anna Dunshee, Adam Dunshee, Eli Dunshee, Cory Hannan, Jessica (Andrew) Yost, Rebecca (Derek) Shumway, Erica Hancock, and Jonathan Hancock; his seven great grandchildren; and his four brothers and two sisters.

Preceding David in death are his parents Arthur and Mae Dunshee; his grand-daughter Ashley Hannan; and one brother.

Those wishing to make a charitable donation in David's memory are suggested by family to do so to the Alanson Church of Nazarene.

A memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Foster Schmitt at the Alanson Church of Nazarene on February 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM, and a visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
