David Lon Hawkins

David L Hawkins, age 54, passed away November 16, 2022.

Dave is survived by his wife Penny; daughter Dakota; son Devon; and grandchildren Tyler and Ryleigh. He is also survived by his parents Lon and Kathy; his mom Michaelyn; siblings John (Ruth), Mae (Sean), Michille (Scott), Shelli (Bobby) and Brandy; his Dog R.D.; and countless aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. David was preceded in death by his daughter Francis.

Dave was born in Gratiot County on July 18, 1968. He was a Jack of all trades, building, drywalling, and painting for McKillip painting. Whether tearing things down or fixing them up, he had the ability to do it all. Dave was also an avid outdoorsman preferring to spend his time knee deep in snow or mud hunting, fishing, or helping a friend. He mostly enjoyed sharing that love with his family and friends and was always ready for the next adventure.

A celebration of life service and lunch will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 3:00 pm at the Camp Petosega recreation hall, 11000 Camp Petosega Road, Alanson, MI 49706
