In Loving Memory of David W. Prevost
June 21, 1955 - September 4, 2023
David W. Prevost, 68, of Boyne City, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
David was born on June 21, 1955, in St. Clair to the late Jack and Mary Prevost. On September 16, 2000, he married the love of his life, Donna Jacobs, in Boyne City.
David graduated from Marysville High School in 1973, where he made a name for himself in basketball, and went on to earn a degree from Ferris State University in 1977. Following his graduation, he embarked on a successful career with General Motors before retiring, only to later find a true passion for the entrepreneur life with FinResults where he was among the first team members starting in 2021.
A true island soul, David had a deep love for boating and embraced the carefree lifestyle. He was known for his infectious enthusiasm for beer and good music, often enjoying the sounds of Jimmy Buffett's music while cruising on his cherished boat, "LOVIN' FEELIN'." David was equally passionate about Michigan State athletics, especially Spartan Football. He found joy in spending time near any body of water, and cherished the thrill of skiing at Boyne Mountain in the winter months. David and Donna also created lasting memories traveling the US in their motorhome. They spent most winters with their friends in Florida, and recently detoured to Texas to welcome the birth of their first grandson.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Donna, their daughter Courtney and son-in-law Arno Stemmer, their son Jacobi Jacobs, and his cherished grandson, Aiden Stemmer. He is also survived by his brother, John, and sister-in-law Betty Prevost, niece Christianna and her husband Jamie Burleigh, and nephews John H. and his wife Becky Prevost and Nicholas and his wife Jenny Prevost. He also leaves behind his brother John (Betty) Prevost, his brother-in-law Robert (Linda) Noble, and a sister-in-law Desiree Noble (Ron Romm). David was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Prevost, his brother Edgar and sister-in-law Lynn Prevost, and his mother-in-law, Inez Noble.
A viewing will be held at Stackus Funeral Home for Friends and Family on Wednesday, September 13th beginning at 5:00pm ET.
