Delores Anna Pierzynowski, 87, of Petoskey, walked on November 19, 2025.
She was born on October 7, 1938, the daughter of William and Alberta (Greane) King, to a large family of five girls and three boys. She attended Petoskey High School.
Delores married John Joseph Pierzynowski and they made their home in Detroit, until his death in 1995. After some time, Delores moved back ‘up north’ to be closer to family.
She loved raising her children, taking care of grandchildren, and being ‘Aunty D from The D’. She enjoyed reading, watching her “judge shows”, and doing Crossword puzzles. Delores was passionate about all Detroit teams but especially loved watching the Detroit Lions and Red Wings.
She was a caring, generous, happy person – who could also be a little sassy sometimes. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Delores is survived by her son Joseph Daniel (Elizabeth) Pierzynowski; sister Carol King McFall; 7 grandchildren, Sheila (Shane), Joey (Shannon), Susie, Jennifer, Daniel (Jamie), Tommy and John; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband John; children Johnny, Judith, Thomas, Ronald, and Matthew; and siblings Alice, Grace, Mary, Johnny, Jessie and Willy.
There will be a funeral service on November 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Stone Funeral Home (2098 E. Mitchell Road, Petoskey, MI 49770). Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Greensky Hill Cemetery.
