Dennis Nelson Coan

Dennis Nelson Coan, 80, of Cheboygan, passed away on November 26, 2021 at Golden Beach Manor. Dennis was born July 9, 1941, the son of Neil and Vivian (Nelson) Coan.

Dennis was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. He loved boating, collecting coins, traveling, animals, and music, especially country. In 1965 he married Judith Rice who blessed him with 22 years. Dennis worked for and retired from AC Delco where he was a committee man for the Local 659. He also owned and operated Coan and Son. 

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Theresa Boike and husband, Thomas, son, Neil Coan and wife, Lisa, granddaughters, Robin Bencheck, Rebecca Rogers, Samantha Shatrau  and Megan MacArthur, a nephew, Jason Hiller, and sisters, Kathy McElliot and Michelle Coan and spouse, Dee Williamson. Dennis was preceded in death by the love of his life, Judith (Rice) Coan.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place on Sunday, December 12 at 3pm at the Maple Creek Preserve Clubhouse.
