Dennis M. Malone, 79, of Indian River passed away on May 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Dennis was born on December 5, 1945 in Pontiac, MI, the son of Willard Malone and Elizabeth (James) Malone. He grew up in Royal Oak, MI, graduating from Royal Oak Kimball High School, and later attending Oakland Community College. In 1967 he married Jane Keskey in Oakland, MI. The couple celebrated 57 years of marriage together. Dennis retired from AT&T in 1994 after many years of service.
He enjoyed Indy Car and NASCAR racing, riding his motorcycle, boating on Mullet Lake, Laurel Hardy Films and of course cold beer. He also loved taking trips to Daytona Beach, Florida with his family as well as going to his children’s sporting events when they were still in school. Most of all, Dennis loved his Chow Chow dogs. He was a member of the Shriner’s, Mason’s, as well as the Scottish Rite.
Dennis is survived by his wife Jane Malone, children Jami Jo (David) Hock, Michael D (Rachelle) Malone, grandkids Dalton Lee Dondero, Tanner James Dondero, Brenden Michael Malone, and Kyle Patrick Malone. He is also survived by his brother James Arthur Malone, and two best friends from Whitesburg, KY; William Ihrig and Gregg Yaden. He was preceded by his parents.

As per Dennis’ wishes, a private cremation has taken place and no services are currently scheduled.
