Dolores Marie Corey, 99, of Petoskey, formerly of Jackson, Michigan, died February 17, 2020.
Dolores was born on September 11, 1920, the daughter of Ray and Elsie (Bahnmiller) Baker. She was raised in Michigan Center and was a graduate from Michigan Center High School.
On May 26, 1940, she married Ronald Corey. It was love at first sight and they were happily married until Ron's death in 1977. Ron and Dolores made their home in Jackson, Michigan until moving to Alanson, Michigan in 1964. Together, they owned and operated Ron's Bar until 1973.
Dolores loved to golf, she would golf at every chance. She also enjoyed bowling with her husband and friends. If someone was calling BINGO, Dolores would be there. Dolores and Ron loved to travel and had the opportunity to go to many different countries and on numerous cruises together over the years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years.
Dolores will be fondly remembered for her strong will, her kindness and her undying love for her friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Malec of Harbor Springs; daughter-in-law, Diana Corey of Alanson; grandchildren, Steve and Joseph Malec, Ronald and Cheri Corey; and great grandchildren, Marissa, Jordan, Mason, Montana, Caleb, Jadynne and Laynie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron; and her children, Terry Ray Corey, Diana K. Corey and Dennis Ray Corey.
There will be a memorial service at Stone Funeral Home on March 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. David Behling will officiate.
