Donna Eileen (Reed) Clouse

Donna Eileen Clouse, 94 of Petoskey, died March 18, 2020 at her home.

Donna was born on May 6, 1925 in Petoskey, the daughter of Walter and Hazel (Johnson) Reed and grew up in Flint, MI, and graduated from Bendle High school with the class of 1943.  Following high school, Donna went to work at the Grand Blanc Tank Company and worked there throughout WWII.

On June 26, 1948, Donna married the love of her life, Nelson F. Clouse in Angola, Indiana and in 1955 they moved back to Petoskey, where Donna had an extensive career in bookkeeping and banking for over 30 years.  In her second career, she worked as the Deputy Clerk for Resort Township for over 20 years.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles – Women’s Auxillary and loved to travel, read, playing cards and BINGO (winning frequently) and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her 3 children, Vickie (Donald) Heinz of Harbor Springs, Michael (Germaine) Clouse of Petoskey, and Leslie (Patrick) Fowler of Charlevoix; grandson, Jeremy (Rebecca) Krusell of Moody, TX; brothers-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Jake and Sandy Clouse of Thermopolis, WY, Joseph and Zadra Rundell of Flint, MI, Jeanette Clouse of Oscoda, MI, and Darlene Clouse of Flint, MI; and by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Nelson Clouse; her parent; her twin sisiter and brother-in-law, Doris and Thomas Curnow; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eugene and Johnelle Clouse; and by brother-in-laws, Dale Clouse and Donald Clouse.

No public services will be held at this time.  Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery of Petoskey.

Arrangements are in the care of the Stone Funeral Home of Petoskey.
