Donna J. Schroeder

Donna Schroeder, 85, of Boyne City passed away peacefully Thursday July 8, 2021 at the McLaren Hiland Cottage Hospice House. 

She was born November 7, 1935, the daughter of Francis and Margaret (Gill) Hellebuyck in Detroit.  She married the love of her life, Ronald Schroeder on November 9, 1957, he predeceased her May 14, 2007.

Donna was primarily a homemaker while caring for her family. She was a devout Catholic with strong faith.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and spent many hours doing volunteer work at the Boyne food pantry and was a member of the VFW.

She is survived by her children Ronald (Nancy) Schroeder, Greg (Karen) Schroeder, Timothy (Debbie) Schroeder, Tammy (Ronald) Siwarga, Donna (John) Anthony, Kim (Carl) Steuer, Dale (Sara) Schroeder, 25 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, brothers Ralph Hellebuyck, James Hellebuyck, Kenneth Hellebuyck, Ronald (Sandy) Hellebuyck, Gordon (Tina) Hellebuyck, and sister Margaret (Ronald) Schimmel, sisters-in-law, Jean Hellebuyck and Susan Hellebuyck,

Donna is predeceased by brothers, William Hellebuyck, Francis Hellebuyck, Jr, sisters, Shirley Hofer and Carole Alessandri, sisters in law, Jeanne Hellebuyck and Margaret Hellebuyck, brothers in law, Arnold Hofer, Dan Alessandri.

Visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, July 12th at Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City with the reciting of the Rosary to be held at 7:30 PM.

Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 13th at St. Matthews Church in Boyne City with a visitation being held from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
