Duane A. Parkey

Duane Allen Parkey; 57 of Brutus, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2021. Duane was born on October 13, 1963 in Lansing, Michigan to Kenneth and Loretta (Massey) Parkey. Duane spent his life living in the Brutus area working various jobs. Duane was a graduate of Pellston High School, Class of 1982. Duane had a kind heart and impacted many people he met in his lifetime. He had a great love for his family and friends.

Duane is survived by his parents, Ken and Loretta Parkey of Brutus, Michigan. His siblings: Renae (Greg) LaPointe and their sons; Jason and Kenny Lapointe from Clearwater, Florida.

His younger brother, Randy Parkey from Brutus, Michigan. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Cindy McCafferty from Brutus. His last surviving Uncle is David Massey from Pellston, Michigan. He has numerous Cousins and Friends who also survive him.

Duane was preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents: Laura (Butler) and Edmund Parkey, as well as maternal grandparents Louis and Irene (Shenoskey) Massey. Also preceding him death were many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

A rosary will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Parkey residence at 4371 Indian Road, Brutus, Michigan. The funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s cemetery (Indian Road); graveside. A funeral feast will be held immediately after interment at the Parkey residence.
