Edward "Nick" Crawford

Edward “Nick” Crawford, 67, of Cheboygan, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at home.

Nick was born December 24, 1950 in Cheboygan, the son of Wilbur and Bernetta (Hanel) Crawford.  He grew up in Afton and moved to the Cheboygan area when he was 18.  On August 9, 1969 in Cheboygan, he married Pauline Greka.  Nick was employed at Tube Forming in Cheboygan for 38 years, retiring in 2008, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, picking morel mushrooms, boating, camping, spending time in the Pigeon River area, and woodworking.

Surviving are his wife, Pauline, a daughter, Sheila (fiancé, Danny Stallard) Crawford of Ortonville, and a son, Brian (Laura Czaja)Crawford of Boyne City, a grandson, Zachary Crawford, two sisters, Barb (Larry) Renard, and Joyce (Mike) Gleason, both of Afton, four brothers, Clyde (Glenda) Crawford of Onaway, Melvin (Pam) Crawford of Montrose, Chuck (Jean) Crawford, also of Afton, and Richard (Shirley) Crawford of Cheboygan, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother and sister in law, John and Lorrene Crawford, and a sister in law, Carol Crawford.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00am, with the family greeting friends beginning at 10:00am, at the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home in Cheboygan.  Pastor Tony Jacobs will officiate, burial will be at Walker Township Cemetery.
