Edward Raymond Fischer Sr., 74 of Harbor Springs, Michigan, died September 10th 2021 at Bay Bluffs after a long battle with chronic illnesses.
Ed was born April 26th 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Helmuth (Sam) and Edna (Swadling) Fischer. He grew up in Ohio, California and Michigan. He attended school in Alanson, Michigan.
On April 15th, 1983, he married Sylvia Cease in Petoskey, Michigan.
Ed enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors fishing and hunting. He loved playing country music on his guitar. He worked several occupations. During his retirement years, he worked at Petoskey State Park.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia Fischer; his children Edward (Kaydonna) Fischer Jr, Angela (Bryon) Kimbler, R. Allan (Monica) Berg Jr, Koni (Donald) Heinz, and Karen (Stephen) Swiss; his siblings Art (Mary Beth) Fischer, Linda (Jim) Zoulek, Chris (Ed) Green, and Jim (Beth) Fischer; his uncle Paul Swadling and his aunt Shirley Swadling; and many grand and great-grandchildren.
The Rev. David Behling will officiate a graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery in Harbor Springs on Wednesday September 15th at 10am.
Family and friends will meet to share dessert, beverages and memories on September 15th 12noon-3pm at 324 E Hathaway Rd Harbor Springs Michigan.
