Elaine Donna Doernenburg

Elaine Donna Doernenburg, age 89 of Petoskey, Michigan, passed away October 12, 2025. She was born February 20, 1936, in Antigo, Wisconsin, the daughter of Lloyd and Bertha (Crum) Doernenburg.

In 1948 Elaine first moved to Petoskey where she attended school and graduated in 1954. She attended Ferris State Institute where she graduated in March of 1956 with an Executive Secretarial Degree. After college Elaine worked at Burns Clinic for 18 years. She then spent a year in California before moving back to Petoskey and working at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 1998. Elaine loved to travel across the United States and Europe, she also enjoyed reading, and her family get togethers and picnics.

She is survived by 4 nieces and nephews, 9 grand nieces and nephews, and 10 great-grand nieces and nephews.

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Stone Funeral Home from 12:00 to 2:00pm with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery at 2:30pm.
