Elizabeth "Beth" Ann (Duclo) Parent, 49, died September 6, 2018 at St. Mary's of Michigan Hospital in Saginaw, after suffering a sudden brain aneurysm.
Beth was born on February 19, 1969 in Trenton, Michigan, the daughter of Lloyd Duclo and Meredith Martin. She grew up in Rockwood, Michigan with her two sisters, Lisa and Lori, next door to her future fiancé. The girls all sang in their church children's choir. Beth attended the Oscar Carlson High School.
On New Year's Day, 2010, Beth reunited with a childhood friend, Roy Page. The two instantly fell in love and were connected from that day forward. Roy and Beth were engaged to be married.
Beth loved life. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a crafter, a gardener and a very good dancer. She was always taking care of others, and even though that was her job as a home healthcare provider, she did it because it was her true passion as well. She had such a love of all animals but became very active in her support of the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida. Beth had a big heart and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Beth is survived by the love of her life, fiancé, Roy Page of Petoskey; her children, Emily (George) Keen of Milton, Florida, D.J. (Katie) Parent of Wyandotte, Michigan, Elizabeth Page of Alanson and Tiffany Page of Petoskey; grandchildren, Meredith, William, Allen, Arabella, Landon, Brayden, Emma and Jayden; her mother, Meredith (Kenneth) Kucharski of Petoskey; siblings, Lisa (Jorge) Barrera of Fort Myers, Florida, Lori Cook of Burgin, Kentucky, Eric (Winona) Kucharski, and Richard (Dawn) Hamm-Kucharski; nieces and nephews, Alexis, Isabelle "Lala", Elena "Lulu", Joshua, and Cody; Aunt Kathy Boughman, Uncle Norman (Linda) Martin and Uncle Jeffrey (Fran) Martin; as well as several cousins.
Beth is preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Duclo; and grandparents, Norman A. and Mary Jane Martin and Catherine Duclo.
There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Big Cat Rescue of Tampa, Florida (bigcatrescue.org/donate) in Beth's name.
Beth was an organ and tissue donor and has given a new beginning to 81 recipients.
