Evelyn Pearl (Bellmer) Harmon

Evelyn Pearl (Bellmer) Harmon, 92, of Petoskey, Michigan, passed away at her home on September 27, 2022.

Daughter of Emery and Edna (Haney) Bellmer, Evelyn was born on December 5, 1929, in Petoskey. She grew up in Petoskey and graduated from Petoskey High School.

On October 17, 1964, she married Emil Harmon at the Epsilon United Methodist Church.

Evelyn did bookkeeping work for Petoskey House Furnishing and Petoskey Packing. After getting married she was a homemaker and raised her daughter Laura.

She enjoyed sewing and studying her bible.

The most important thing in Evelyn’s life was being a devoted Christian and mother, wife, sister, and aunt.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter Laura Harmon; her sister Mary (Dan) Grangood; her nephews: Kevin, Kurt (Meredith), and Erik (Kayla); and her great-nephews and great-nieces: Kyle, Brenden, Emma, Marley, and Luka.

She is preceded in death by her husband Emil Harmon; her parents Emery and Edna Bellmer; and her sisters Louise (Ray), and Emily.

Those wishing to make a charitable donation in Evelyn’s memory are asked to consider the Epsilon United Methodist Church.

A funeral for Evelyn will be officiated by Pastor David Huhtala on October 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Epsilon United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.
