Faye Louise (Hunt) Fox

Faye Louise Fox (nee Hunt), 86, of Boyne City, Michigan went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2025, at Boulder Park Terrace in Charlevoix, Michigan. She was born on April 18, 1938, in Alma, Michigan, to Arthur and Margreta (Johnson) Hunt. Faye graduated from the American School in 1960. She married Ray Fox on June 1, 1956, in Saginaw, Michigan, where they had five children.

Faye worked at several different jobs over the years. In Saginaw she worked at A&W, Morley Brothers, and then as a switchboard operator at Michigan Bell. In the 1970’s she moved to Florida and operated the switchboard for Palm Aire Country Club.  After many years in Florida Faye moved back to Michigan where she worked the dispatch desk at Boyne Mountain Resort.

Doll collecting was Faye’s favorite hobby. She was skilled at sewing clothes for baby dolls and Barbie as well as making lots of stuffed animals for friends and family. Her hobby included fixing dolls (a “doll hospital”) and making miniatures for doll houses.

Faye’s greatest joy was her family. She loved the laughter of funny stories and good-natured kidding by her children, grandchildren, and siblings.            

Faye was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her beloved family, children:  Marsha (Greg) Meyer, Dale (Sharon) Fox, Arlene (John) Armeros, Roy Fox, Diana Wise; sister Patricia Scoon, brothers Arthur James (Linda) Hunt, Robert Jerry (Wanda) Hunt, Theodore “Ted” (Shirley) Hunt; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held May 17th, 2025, at noon at Lighthouse Missionary Church, 7824 Rogers Rd, East Jordan, Michigan.  Faye requested that memorials go to Lighthouse Missionary Church with “Funeral Dinner Ministry” noted.  Her final resting place will be with her parents at Carp Lake Township Cemetery, Carp Lake, Michigan.
