Forrest R. Sweet

Forrest R. Sweet, II, age 26, of Cheboygan passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his home. He was born July 27, 1994 in Marquette, the son of Kelly J. and Dallas L. (Peters) Sweet, Sr. On June 8, 2018 at Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire, Forrest married Alexis “Allie” Michie, “The best day of his life” is how he would frequently recall it.

Forrest graduated from Cheboygan High School in 2012 and had worked in the construction trade for the past several years. He was an amazing dad and an amazing husband. He made it a priority to teach his children about the little things in life, because he believed that’s what life was truly about. Forrest was the type of man to go out of his way, just to make sure his family knew how much he truly loved them. 

Survivors include his wife, Allie and his children, Karter (7), Kaleb (3) and Peyton (1), his mother, Dallas Peters, all of Cheboygan, brother, Kelly Sweet of Grand Rapids, two sisters, Crystal (Derek) Lance and Joesy (Charlie) Cunningham, both of Cheboygan and his mother and father-in-law, Jeni and Glen Michie of Topinabee. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Bonnie Gouin and Larry Peters.

A celebration of life will take place this summer to honor Forrest.
