Frances Roselee Kronkowski

Frances Roselee Kronkowski, 95, of Cheboygan, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 29, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born in Cheboygan on December 25, 1925, the daughter of John and Valeria (Robydek) Kronkowski.

Frances grew up and attended school in Cheboygan before moving to Saginaw to attend beauty school. She worked for multiple beauty shops in Saginaw and on Mackinac Island before opening her own, House of Beauty.

She was a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Riggsville, acting as a Sacristan and a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining, traveling, including to Alaska, Washington, and Chicago going on Shrine Tours, and she loved spending time with her nieces and nephew every summer.

Frances is survived by three sisters, Grace and Delores Kronkowski of Cheboygan, and Theresa Lair of Wichita, Kansas, a brother, John Kronkowski of Stanton, Michigan, three nieces, Barb (Mike) Kosten of Sheridan, Michigan, Jean Kronkowski of Stanton, Michigan, and Mary (Carson) Krabbe of Seattle, Washington, a nephew, Mike Kronkowski of Phoenix, Arizona, many great nieces and nephews, and very special friend, Betty Jo Jacobs. Frances is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rev. Fr. Leonard Kronkowski.

A funeral mass will take place at Sacred Heart on Friday, August 6 at 11:30am with family greeting friends at 10am. A rosary service will take place at 9:30am just before the visitation. Father Duane Wachowiak will officiate.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan, Bishop Baraga Catholic School, or Mass intentions.
