Frederick "Joe" Liegl

Frederick “Joe” Joseph Liegl, 90, of Petoskey, died June 9, 2025, at Bay Bluffs Medical Care Facility.

Joe was born in Petoskey on March 17, 1935, the son of Frederick and Katheryn (Foltz) Liegl. He drove mail truck for many years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and enjoyed reading.

He is survived by his sister Mary (the late John) Walker of Tennessee; brother John (the late Christine) Liegl of Petoskey; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Donna Gottlieb, Jean Liegl, and Peter Liegl.

Joe has been laid to rest at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Petoskey. There are no services planned at this time.
