Genevieve Josephine (Rymut) Jaworski

Genevieve Josephine Jaworski, age 94 of Indian River, passed away on February 17, 2026, with family at her side.

Genevieve was born on June 11, 1931, the daughter of John and Mary (Garncarz) Rymut.

She is survived by her children Gina Slowinski and Verne Merritt; grandchildren Verne Merritt IV, Shiloh (Merritt) Bilovus,  Gina Slowinski, Nick (Brooke) Slowinski, Ben Slowinski; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Genevieve is preceded in death by her father and mother; husband Robert Jaworski; and siblings Anna Publiski, Josephine Adams, Jennie Layman, Raymond Rymut, Edward Rymut and Laura Closs.

A memorial will take place in May at the Cross In The Woods Cemetery in Indian River.  She will be blessed and placed into her final resting place.  A luncheon will follow.
