George Galbraith Obituary

George Gary Galbraith, age 80 of Cheboygan Michigan, passed away comfortably and peacefully at his farm in Aloha on March 8th, 2024.

George was born on March 25, 1943 in Flint, MI. He was the son of George and Evelyn Galbraith.

In December of 1995 he married Marjorie Sadler in Cheboygan, MI.

George was a jack of all trades. Starting with an Air Force career after high school, where he lived in Germany with his children. Once returning to the States he found his love for real estate and farming. He was a landlord and farmer for many years before planting his roots in Aloha, where he bought his dream farm and opened Cheboygan Cattle Company dairy farm. In the late 90’s he became the owner of The Landings on Indian River where he rented beautiful cabins and boats and spent most of every summer there for 19 years.

Following the sale of The Landings, George was able to spend his retirement years puttering on his beautiful farm. His pride and joy were his fruit and nut trees that he spent many hours tending to and caring for.

George is survived by his amazing wife, Marjorie Sadler Galbraith. His brother-in-law, Carl Pritchett. His children, Geoffrey (Deb) Galbraith and Amy Galbraith, Jerry (Sherry) Cheshier, Tony Cheshier. His grandchildren that he adored, Erica (Matt) Patra, Varonica Galbraith, Jessica (Eddie) Guyette, Kaycee Cheshier, and Jacob Campeau. And his great grandchildren, Eddie III, Liam, and Salem Guyette.

There will be a Celebration of Life in honor of George on Sunday, March 17th from 12-4pm at the farm. Feel free to reach out to any of his family if you have any questions or if you need directions.
