On November 4, 2023 Gerald Jay Keller, 61, left this earth to begin his next journey. He was surrounded by his family and so much love, in his home, just the way he wanted.
Gerald was born to Anthony and Janice (Gasco) Keller on April 11, 1962 in Petoskey, Michigan. He was raised in Cross Village and attended school at Harbor Springs High School.
In following his father’s footsteps, Gerald joined the army and spent 4 years serving. He received a good conduct medal and was a marksman rifle expert.
On September 5, 1998 on a windy day he married the love of his life Kelly LeCureux at their home in Levering Michigan.
As a father he hadn't missed a sporting event, basketball games, track, cross country meets, golfing, and equestrian events (even if he was recording the wrong child). And as a husband he was very caring, supportive, protective, and reliable.
Gerald enjoyed many things in life but mainly he loved camping, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his family. Coming from a family of eight he also loved big family holiday gatherings at his parent’s house, and Sunday dinner and movie days with his own family. The family he came from made him into wonderful husband and father that everyone knew.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife Kelly; children: Tanner Keller, and Emilee (Markus) Thomas; siblings: Sharon Keller, Anthony Jr. (Gayle) Keller, Joseph (Alice) Keller, Kevin Keller, Sandra Williams, and sister in law Joy Keller. Along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. And three dogs Bella, Rex, Daisy, and granddog Cooper.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, brother Timothy, sister Susan, nephew Jeff, and mother in law Beverly LeCureux.
Services for Gerald will be held on November 11, 2023 at Nordman-Christian Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00AM followed by a service at 12:00PM, officiated by Pastor Rodney Sydow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the family.
