Glenda Dorene Planck

Glenda Dorene Planck, 82, passed away peacefully at home on April 13, 2021.   She was born February 26, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to Glenn and Jessie Planck.  She moved to northern Michigan as a young girl and made her life in Boyne City.

After graduating Petoskey High School in 1957, Glenda worked for Boyne Products followed by Honeywell where she would ultimately retire from.   She made many great friends and enjoyed it there so much she went back after retirement to work as a security guard.  She enjoyed watching football and golf, playing cards, and loved to golf and bowl.  Glenda had fun no matter what she did and made everything a good time with her witty comments, random bursts of song and positive outlook on life.  Glenda had an outgoing and engaging personality as well as a passion to help others whether friend or stranger.

Glenda is survived by her sister Wilma Socia, sister-in-law Judy Planck, nephews Willis Planck, Glenn Planck and niece Pam Planck as well as many more loved nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear friend Norma (David) Burns.  She is preceded in death by her mother Jessie, father Glenn, brothers Harold Planck and Willis Planck and sisters Dolores Barnhart, Bernadine Martin, Vivienne Duncan and June Planck.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 20 at Walloon Lake Community Church at 11:00 am with Pastor David Behling officiating.
