Gregory Eustice Obituary

Gregory T. Eustice, age 67, of Cheboygan passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Castle Rock Retirement Center in St. Ignace after a long battle with mental illness. He was born November 30, 1953 in Cheboygan, the son of Robert and Josephine “Jo” (Jankoviak) Eustice.

Greg graduated from Cheboygan Catholic High School in 1971 where he enjoyed playing football and basketball. He attended Ferris State College for post graduate studies before returning home to Cheboygan to work with his dad at Century Products. He then went to work for United Parcel Service as a driver for several years. He was a member of St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church and, in his younger years, enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing and the outdoors. In his later years, he found joy in time spent with his children and grandchildren, and the many hours he spent on the phone in Facetime conversations with them.

Survivors include his four children, Ryan (Karen) Eustice of Ann Arbor, Janae (Jay) Russell of Allendale, Charla (Zac) Burill of NC and Jessica (Pitch) Powers of GA, his sister, Karen (Terry) Rocheleau of Cheboygan and their daughter, Shannon (John) Dwyer of Grand Rapids, 17 grandchildren, his cousin and good friend, Dan Eustice of Cheboygan, uncles, Maurice Eustice, Sylvester Jankoviak and Rich (Marilyn) Jankoviak, all of Cheboygan, aunts, Aileen Bauers of Harbor Springs and Gert (Robert) Hall of WI and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral mass will take place at St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church on Thursday, May 13 at 11:00 AM with Father Duane Wachowiak officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
