Greta Mae Moyer of Harbor Springs, 89, passed away on November 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and wonderful staff at Bay Bluffs. Special thanks to the staff for the great care and compassion, for making it so peaceful; including Dr. Blanchard.
Greta was born on May 10, 1936, in West Traverse Township to Carlton Ward and Janet Garver. She grew up in 5 Mile Creek and Harbor Springs, attending school in both places and continuing on to build her life close to home. It was in Harbor Springs that she married the love of her life Wayne Moyer, sharing an anniversary date of May 14, 1955, which they could celebrate just four days after Greta’s birthday each year.
Greta was a lifelong homemaker who used her knowledge of crafting to give to those in need. She had a passionate love for knitting and crocheting, often donating her pieces to the Pregnancy Care Center of Petoskey, Michigan. She also loved to spend time with family and friends, enriching her life with the company of others.
Greta is survived by her children; son Steve Moyer of Cross Village, daughter Rhonda Fullerton (Doug Devereaux) of Cross Village, son Gary Moyer of Harbor Springs, son Greg Moyer (Stephanie Grozner) of Petoskey, sister-in-law Linda Ward, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne Moyer, parents Carlton and Janet Ward, brother Gary Ward, sister Carmen Leese, daughter-in-law Kate Moyer, son-in-law Geoffrey Clabaugh, and son-in-law Robert Fullerton Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Pregnancy Care Center of Petoskey, an organization that Greta personally contributed to with her creative efforts and skill, as well to Bay Bluffs.
