Hannah Rae Brilinski, 28, of Petoskey, Michigan, passed away on July 1, 2026.
Born on September 5, 1997, Hannah was the beloved daughter of Nelson Brilinski and Kelly Wilson, and cherished stepdaughter of Mike Wilson.
Hannah grew up in Alpena and the Petoskey area and graduated from Boyne City High School in 2015. She attended North Central Michigan College and spent many years working at Southwoods Restaurant, where her warm smile, tireless work ethic, and genuine kindness made her a favorite among coworkers and customers alike. Many guests requested Hannah by name, drawn to her friendly spirit and the special care she showed everyone, especially the elderly.
Hannah found joy in music, movies, and animals, loving her pets as if they were her own children. She treasured her friends and loved her sisters, niece, and nephew with all her heart. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel special and will always be remembered as the most thoughtful and generous gift giver. Her radiant smile, compassionate heart, and quiet generosity touched countless lives and will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her father, Nelson Brilinski; her mother, Kelly Wilson; her stepfather, Mike Wilson; her sisters, Rachel Brilinski, Josie Wilson, and Elle Wilson; her grandmother, Linda Doherty; and her grandparents, Chris and Jim Wilson; along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Lila and Robert Brilinski, and her grandfathers, Larry Schultz and James Doherty.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor David Behling.
The family asks that those who knew Hannah remember her by sharing kindness freely, loving animals deeply, and never missing an opportunity to make someone feel seen and valued. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Little Traverse Bay Humane Society or the Charlevoix Area Humane Society.
