Her grandchildren were her first priority. She taught them how to bake and sew and played many board games with them. Other things she enjoyed were fishing, hunting, traveling, gardening, growing flowers, sewing, and crocheting.

Harriet is survived by her loving husband Robert W. Kitchen; son John R. (Tiffany) Kitchen; siblings: Fred Lehto (Paulette), Maria (née Lehto) Baner (Jon), Dennis Lehto, Irene (née Lehto) Podufaly (Walt), Bob Lehto, and Angela (née Lehto) Smith (Jon); grandchildren: Marisa Kitchen, Bria Kitchen, Ryker Kitchen, Kyla Kitchen, Treagan Kitchen, and Declan Kitchen; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son Brian J. Kitchen; parents Harry A. Lehto and Bethel M. Lehto; and siblings Donna (née Lehto) Chapel, George Arnott, and Gaye Lehto.
