Harry James Fenner, 79 of Chicago, IL and formerly of Cheboygan, MI, walked on August 7, 2025 at the Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL.
Harry was born on March 26, 1946 in Cheboygan, MI and proudly served his country in both the US Army and the US Air Force, serving two tours in Vietnam. Upon returning from Vietnam, Harry went to work for the Chicago Police Department, a career he held until he retired in 2008. On April 27, 1984, Harry married the love of his life, Joan, and she survives. He was a member of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians.
Harry is survived by his wife, Joan Fenner; 3 Children, Susan Lutzow, David (Kym) Dziki, and Kristi (Lazaro) Trejo; 8 Grandkids, Lauren (Jason) Abdalla, Ryan Lutzow, Stephanie Dziki, Holly (Joel) Merino, Zachary Dziki, Nicolette Trejo, Nathan Trejo, and Olivia Trejo; 6 Great Grandkids, Zoey, Hunter, Emmett, Ava, Chloe, Landon.
A graveside service with military honors and Native American rites will be held on August 13th at Noon at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery at the St Mary Catholic Church at Burt Lake in Brutus, Michigan.
