Hylah Florence (Binde) Bishop

On May 12th, 2023, Jesus brought home Hylah Florence (Binde) Bishop to rest eternally by his His side. Hylah was born May 12, 1943, to William and Florence Binde being one of 11 children.

Hylah grew up in New Jersey and Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania. She was a long time resident of Wurtsboro, New York, where she raised her 6 children until she relocated back to New Jersey in the late 70's.

Hylah enjoyed the outdoors and had a special bond with nature and animals. One of her fondest memories was of her childhood horse named Penny. She spoke fondly of the time spent with her daughter Amy at the horse stable in Jersey. She loved to ride.

She had a pure heart and throughout her life she was dedicated to the church. And even though money was often of concern she would have Sunday spaghetti dinner for members of the church and the homeless at her kitchen table. She played guitar and sang gospel music with reckless abandon. She loved music and felt it in her soul. In the midst of chaotic times she found her strength in the Lord.

Hylah was born not favored to live as a premature baby. She went on to defy the odds and live til the day of her 80th birthday when her lord called her to Heaven.

She is survived by her children Marcus, Amy, Arthur, Lisa, Robbie and George. Also grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews.

Hylah simply wanted to be cremated. She wanted her ashes spread into the bay in New Jersey. Her family will honor those wishes.
