Ila Jarman Obituary

ILA MAE LOESEL JARMAN went home to be with her Lord and Savior early on the morning of June 16th.  She was born in Frankenmuth, Michigan to Waldorf and Milda Loesel and joined their children Ralph, Roy, Shirley and Ruth as the youngest on November 18, 1939.

She went to Saginaw Lutheran Seminary and after high school worked for a short while as a telephone operator with Michigan Bell.  She met Bill Jarman and then married him on October 14, 1961.  They went on to have two children, Charles and Mike in Detroit, before moving to Cheboygan where Pete and Heidi were added to the family.

Ila enjoyed singing and working in the garden as well as traveling and sending cards of celebration and encouragement to her sons and daughter wherever they might be, in the army, university or away from home.  She also sent many cards to people in her church congregation and her extended family.

She was a fantastic cook and there was almost always a homemade dessert after dinner each night and in the Christmas season there was no shortage of Christmas cookies or stollen.
