Iva May Dart

Iva May Dart, age 94, passed away on February 15, 2026, at Bay Bluffs Medical Care Facility of Harbor Springs. She was formally from the Quincy/Coldwater, MI area.

Iva was born August 3, 1931, to Andrew D. Bracy and Mildred (Norton) Bracy of Quincy, MI. She married Theodore E. Jahr on December 31, 1949. On May 7, 1986, she married Robert C. Dart.

Iva had worked at the Coldwater State Home and Training School, Quincy Schools, Bracy & Jahr Masonry Contractors, and J.C. Penney.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbi (John) Richer of Petoskey, MI and daughter-in-law Colette (Stroble) Jahr of Illinois.

Grandchildren Jennifer Bell of Gaylord, Michigan, Gregory (Tracy) Richer of Coldwater, MI, Timothy (Amanda) Jahr of North Carolina and Kimberly (Jeff) Nethercot of Illinois.

Great-grandchildren Christin (Josh) Hague, Matthew Bell, Allisson Bell, Michael (Jayna) Richer, Nathan Richer, Anna Richer, Elise Nethercot, Holden Nethercot, Taylor Jahr, and Eleanor Jahr.

Step daughter-in-law, Sherry Dart. Step-grandchildren Lisa (Glenn) Dart Campbell, Andrew (Angela) Dart, Michael Dart and Jenni (Chris) Dart Newton. Step great-grandchildren Isabella Dart, Evelyn Dart and Aiden Dart, Emerson Dart and Charlotte Dart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Marc Jahr, Theodore Jahr and Robert Dart, brothers Leo D. Bracy and Lauren Bracy and sisters Ethyl Crum and Janet Hyliard. And stepsons Jack Dart, Keith Dart and Chris Dart.

At her wishes cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes at Lakeview Cemetery, Quincy, MI, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the United Methodist Church of Coldwater.
