James Michael Halliday

James Michael Halliday, 59, passed away Saturday September 18, 2021.

Jim was born July 27, 1962 at Station Hospital USMCAS, Cherry Point, NC, to Bartholomew G. and Betty J. (Young) Halliday III. Jim served as an Army Ranger and Air Force Fitness Specialist.

Jim was manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken where he met Brenda Barr and asked her to marry him.

They were married February 11, 1995 in Topinabee, MI.

Jim is survived by Brenda his wife of 26 years, sons Robert (Mallory), Joshua and Anthony grandchildren, Haylee, Caleb and Maddison Halliday. Sisters Carol (Alan) Cheely, Christine Mankin (Bill McCalla) and brother Robert. Sisters in Law Deborah Bridges, Becky Fish, Marcia Jankoviak, brothers in law David (Janet) Barr, Wally (Cynthia) Barr, sisters in law Linda Barr, Karen Percy, brother in law Thomas (Anays) Barr.

Father USMC Ret. Maj. Bartholomew G. Halliday III.   Numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jane (Young) Halliday, father and mother in law Clyde and Doris Barr, Grand parents George and Pauline Halliday and Ken and Ella Young, brother in law Kirk Mankin and niece Michelle Salas.

The memorial service will be at Nordman-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday September 25, at 1:00 pm with a visitation from 11-1.
