James H. “Harv” Schramm, age 82, of Cheboygan passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at his home. He was born May 23, 1938 in Cheboygan, the son of Bernard “Ben” and Lorraine (Weir) Schramm, Sr. On May 2, 1964, Harv married Gloria Scott who preceded him in death.

Harv had worked as a painter on the Mackinaw Bridge, had dredged for many years and retired from Cheboygan Tap & Tool after 27 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, going to the Onaway Speedway and spending time in his yard.

Survivors include his two sons, Troy and Tony (Laura) Schramm, his daughter, Nicole (Dennis) Reimann, two grandchildren, Anna and Troy, II Schramm, sister, Barbara Barrette, brothers, Dick and Bernard Schramm, sister-in-law, Angela Florek and two brothers-in-law, Pat and Mike Scott.

Besides his wife Gloria, Harv was preceded in death by his three brothers, Bill, Stan and Dean Schramm and his brother-in-law, Fred Scott.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.
