Jean K Scibior, 90 of Petoskey, died April 11, 2020.
Jean was born and raised on the family farm on Pleasantview Road in Harbor Springs, the daughter of John and Antonina (Krawczyk) Pesarcyk and graduated from Harbor Springs High School and went to work for JCPenny's.
On August 25, 1951, Jean married the love of her life, Edward Scibior in Petoskey and together they made their home in Petoskey. Together with her husband, Jean owned and operated the Sani-Products company from 1967-1993. Together they wintered in Florida, enjoyed traveling and you could frequently find them at Polka Festivals out on the dance floor. On February 16, 2015 Ed preceded Jean in death.
Jean is survived by 2 sons, Thomas (Diana) Scibior of Petoskey and Kenneth (Mary) Scibior of Boyne City; 4 daughters, Diane (Ron) Wagner of Grand Rapids, Loraine (Mark) Howie of Traverse City, Mary (Mark) Mulka of Midland, and Rosanne (Greg) Schaub of Petoskey; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; and by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
A memorial mass for Jean will take place Saturday, August 1st at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis Church in Petoskey (masks are required).
Jean will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Greenwood Cemetery in Petoskey.
