Jessica Marie Petrowski, 38

After a long and brave battle with cancer, Jessica Marie Petrowski passed from this life on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at McLaren Northern Michigan.  At the time of her death she was surrounded by those she loved and who loved her in return.  Her family have planned to remember and celebrate her life during a funeral service that is planned for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Stutsmanville Chapel in Harbor Springs; Rev. Ed Warner will officiate.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Stutsmanville Chapel, 2988 S. State Rd., Harbor Springs, MI 49740.  Jessica will be laid to rest in Bliss Township Cemetery.

Jessica was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky on December 8, 1979.  She grew up in Pellston, where she attended school.  For most of her adult life, Jessica worked as a Bar Tender at Mr. Ed’s and at the Brass Rail in Pellston.  She married the love of her life, Marty Petrowski on September 1, 2007 in Mackinaw City at the Church of the Straits.  Jessica and Marty were blessed with a wonderful little boy that they named Brodey, who was the center of Jessica’s universe.  She was a loving and caring mom who did everything within her power to be the best mom she could be.  Those who knew her best will remember a young woman of immense inner strength who battled her illness with courage and a real sense of humor.  She packed a lot of life in her all too brief time here.  She was deeply loved and will be forever missed.

Jessica is survived by her loving husband, Marty and son, Brodey, her mom Linda Maass of Mackinaw City, her step-father, Mark Maass, her grandmother, Imogene “GG” Drier, her father and mother-in-law, Chris & Sandy Petrowski of Harbor Springs and her “soul sisters”, Becky Nethercott of Harbor Springs, Sarah Hartman of Petoskey and Melanie (Clancy) Irwin of Harbor Springs, and many nieces and nephews.
