Jessica Rose (Lownsberry) Venohr

Jessica Rose (Lownsberry) Venohr, 40, of Alanson, died January 24, 2023.

Jessica was born on May 27, 1982, in Petoskey, Michigan, the daughter of Michael Lownsberry and Cindy (Schwartzfisher) Simon. She graduated from Petoskey High School in 2000 and attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

On September 17, 2011, she married the love of her life Joseph Venohr. They lived in Ohio and North Dakota before settling in Alanson in 2016.

Jessica enjoyed baking, reading, and gardening. She liked being able to grow her own food. She will be remembered for her positive outlook on life. She was joyful, always had a smile, and the sound of her giggle would make anyone happy. She had an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She loved God and her church family at Harbor Light Community Chapel.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Venohr; her children, Jasper and V’en Venohr; her father Michael Lownsberry; brothers, Kelsey Krussell and Christopher Lownsberry; nieces and nephews, Devinn, Bradly, Chloe, Connor, Tyler, Grace and Hannah; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mother Cindy Simon.

There will be a memorial service at Harbor Light Community Chapel on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Pastor Gary Mindel will officiate.

There will also be a Benefit Event on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Black River Full Gospel Community Church in Cheboygan, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Proceeds from this event will be used to offset the cost of medical bills, and living expenses.
