John David Brecheisen, Sr., 72, died unexpectedly on McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital on November 13, 2020.
John was born on October 18, 1948, in Petoskey, Michigan, the son of Olin and Faith (Hyatt) Brecheisen. He graduated from Petoskey High School in June of 1967. He started working for Harris Quality Beverage and Fabiano Brothers, Inc. John was drafted to the United States Army and proudly served his country as a MP.
On June 23, 1973, he married Betty A. Dainoviec. They were married for 43 years and had 3 children together.
After his discharge from the Army, he returned to work for Harris Quality Beverage and Fabiano Brothers, Inc as a Driver/Salesman for 30 years.
John was involved in Little League for many years, was a scorekeeper on the State and local area of the Petoskey speed skating club which all his children were involved in for many years. John and Betty loved to camp with their friends Ron and Ruby Pettenger and their children Becky and Krisy Pettenger for years.
John is survived by his children, John David Brecheisen, Jr. of Petoskey, Jeffrey O. Brecheisen (Nesrin) of San Diego, CA and Lindsey A. Chalfant (Daniel) of Fife Lake; one grandchild Arya Brecheisen of San Diego, CA; sister Wanda Morrison (Ralph) of Lansing; brother James Brecheisen (Peggy) of Petoskey; brother-in-laws Larry Sipe and Louie Plevinski of Petoskey; mother-in-law, Vivian Dainoviec; and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his mother and father; two sisters Glenna A. Sipe and Leone Plevinski; father-in-law Steve J. Dainoviec, Sr.; two nieces Barbara Ricketts and Robin Kuhn.
